Dancing since a young age, Mary brings her enthusiasm and love of life to her teaching style. Mary graduated Summa Cum Laude from SHSU with a BFA in Dance. While at SHSU, she discovered the power of Pilates and has been teaching since to share her passion with others. Mary was trained through Balanced Body Pilates by Betty Nicolay, a Master Balanced Body Instructor and former dancer of Contemporary Dancers Canada. As Mary teaches more and more, she consistently sees how Pilates has the amazing ability to improve the lifestyle of all. Her favorite successes as an instructor are when her clients comment on when they see and feel how Pilates impacts their life positively in the studio and, more importantly, outside the studio. In her spare time not being a Pilates nerd, Mary enjoys playing her ukulele and performing in musicals across the DFW area.

As a former dancer, Micah always knew of Reformer Pilates but it always seemed financially out of reach. Micah had been sick with a plethora of health issues for nearly 20 years that forced her to stop dancing and have an inactive lifestyle. She was obese and had accepted the fact that this was her life and the body she was destined to have. Looking for an exercise program she could do that wouldn’t make her more fatigued or injured, by pure luck she came across a recently opened Club Pilates. After her first class, she was hooked. Taking advantage of the variety of classes offered at Club Pilates, she got everything she needed in one place: strengthening, lengthening, toning, flexibility, and cardio. One year later Micah was 50+ pounds lighter and truly healthy for the first time! Micah recently completed her comprehensive Pilates training through Club Pilates and Barre Above. She was lucky enough to be trained by Leslee Bender, creator of the Bender Method of training and the Bender Ball and co-creator of Barre Above. Micah is excited to bring her passion and excitement to Club Pilates and help others reach their personal fitness goals!
